Sewer pipe miracle baby leaves China hospital; No charges for mother
Thu May 30, 2013
This is awful and it does seem hard to believe that this was an accident, but then again, we are imagining this as if it is one of our types of toilets- when it's actually a publicly shared toilet in some awful housing project in China, and we need to consider the mother's state of beig having deliv …
Deadly giant snail found in Houston
Tue May 7, 2013
I saw one of these that was even bigger once in Kauai- and almost passed out. It looked like a giant seashell on top of a 20 pound snail, gross, although it's shell was gorgeous. I've seen smaller versions of these snails along the coastline on Maui too
Family of teen killed by car awarded $90 million by jury
Wed Apr 17, 2013
While my son's elementary school bus used to stop on both sides of the street to pick kids up, due to budget cut backs, having to take the time to drive up and down both sides, well that got cut out too.
Outrage after teacher assigns Nazi propaganda essay on why Jews were evil
Fri Apr 12, 2013
While some people may feel that the assignment should not have been offensive, and was merely to teach students how to write a persuasive essay, I cannot understand how the teacher or anyone would think having teenagers write such an essay and think about reasons why one could justify hate against J …
Woman killed by caged lion in California died suddenly of broken neck: Coroner
Thu Mar 7, 2013
While I agree that a human life is more important than an animal's life, it does not mean that the lion deserved to die either. The lion did not choose to be caged up, but the lady did choose to take on a job that comes with risks. It sounds like she also perhaps took risks of going in the cage when …
Disaster relief? Dealing with Oklahoma City bombing fund 'horrible,' victim says
Fri Mar 1, 2013
With a situation like this, someone has to administer funds, and someone has to make decisions on who gets what or anything. Strict guidelines are given to prevent those who commit fraud. Unfortunately, as a result, there will be situations where someone who deservedly needs the funds does not get t …
Cops: 14-year-old boy beat, killed 7-month-old sister
Mon Feb 11, 2013
We do not have enough of the facts or information yet and most of us, including myself, are making assumptions and forming opinions. Many of us assume there was no father or other adult figure in the household, that she had to work at night in order to provide for her family. We know that a 14 year …
Rossen Reports: Brides say company ruined their wedding day
Tue Feb 5, 2013
I think this is a really sad story, and just as sadder that so many people are now commenting that these victims deserved this simply because they chose to spend approximately $20k on a wedding. While some people may find this amount ludicrous, or unable to afford spending this type of money, there …
14-year-old boy shot at Atlanta middle school, officials say
Thu Jan 31, 2013
To those of you who say or think guns to do not kill people, and that people kill people, well, you are only 50% correct. Yes, it does take a person to pull the trigger, and in all too many cases, an evil or mentally disturbed person, but if the person did not have the gun, they probably would not h …
Do you believe in heaven?
Mon Mar 21, 2011
Being the son of a pastor, it's not too surprising he dreams of Heaven, etc. As for the baby sister part, that could be a pure coincidence.
